With support from family friends and the Marlowes Shopping Centre, we raised over £1,000 on our SNAIL RACE evening at Hemel Hempstead Fire & Ambulance Station. We had an article printed in the local newspaper and a pre-recorded interview for Heart Radio was played every hour on Saturday morning.

Hemel Fire brigade’s social social club kindly donated half the bar takings so thanks to all who were drinking for Charity! Thanks to Green Watch & Red watch who helped us set up and clear up and especially to Mark who liaised the whole of the event with me from start to finish & Julie who helped him run the bar.  Mac our very own fire-fighter & compare had everyone in stitches while Nula, Michael & Katy were busy in the kitchen serving hotdogs they had donated throughout the night. Matt kindly took photographs for us & Mei ran around collecting money & making sure everyone was happy. Nicky, Bryn and Bronwyn took the bets and dished out the winnings in a smooth operation.

Amrit, Jasmeet our very new Ambassador/Fundraiser volunteers & Becky, raised over £100 on the Raffle, served free drinks on arrival as well as running around making everyone feel welcome.  Nick & Sam were in charge of audio, visual, technical as well as our new polo shirts & just about everything else, including looking after me!

Thank you to EVERYONE who helped, donated & supported us on our very first fundraising event.
